If you’re considering using drugs or know someone who does, test your product for fentanyl, carry naloxone, and know the signs of an overdose.
Naloxone and test strips are available from Kenneth Young Center and can prevent deadly fentanyl poisoning. Be prepared, carry naloxone, and know the signs of an overdose. You may also consider safe needle exchange. Safe needle exchange in Illinois can be found here. Kenneth Young Center also provides Free Rapid HIV testing.
Illinois and 46 other states have enacted Good Samaritan laws, which provide immunity to those who call emergency services when experiencing or witnessing an overdose.
